After hearing the news that Brett Favre had a surgery on his injured left ankle last Friday, a lot of Minnesota Vikings fans thought that their prayers were finally answered and believe that the surgery indicated Favre’s intention to return for 2010 season. While they are still waiting for an official announcement, some of them are already preparing for a party to celebrate.
It was reported that a group of fans from an online community is making a plan to celebrate for Favre’s return. They are still discussing on the details of the celebration and there have been already about twenty participants. They are currently raising money from community members for the cost of the party and holding a vote for the will-be location of the celebration. All participants are required to wear their own Brett Favre jerseys and each of them should bring a unique Favre-related item with them.
As the third anniversary of Favre’s retire-return show, the celebration date will remain undecided until Favre makes official announcement of his return. What if Favre really retires? Well, despite disbelief on that, the fans are also making a Plan B for that possibility. If Favre retires, the party will turn to a farewell ceremony with an auction for authentic Favre items.
